#23 Drunk and Confused (200 words)

Inspired by: Mixed Up Confusion

A few days, post-acquisition Reggie had drunk all the alcohol in his home. To stay drunk, he’d have to go out.

He threw on a jacket and made his hair as presentable as he could, but failed. He put on a hat, left his home, and wandered the streets aimlessly.

Reggie saw two women dressed for a night out on the town step out of a taxi.

“Excuse me? Are you looking for alcohol?” He asked them as articulately as he could manage.

The women looked at each other, not sure if they found him charming or terrifying.

“Uh, yeah?”

“Perfect, you can buy me a drink then. Let’s go.”

They laughed, and then he threw his arms around them and mostly became dead weight. They decided it wasn’t cute.

They dragged him to the bar.

“Good evening, oh, hey Reggie, back again? Right, this way.”

“I’ve got it from here!” Reggie declared. He took one step on his own and fell headfirst into a table.

The girls picked him up, and his face was bleeding profusely. Before they could do anything, one waiter brought drinks and another first aid.

“Let’s drink!”

The girls decided he was cool.
